Really wanted to go to Rhyme Time today. Hannah's morning sleep finished at 9.40. Pushing it, but rushed through some porridge and hope bundled Hannah out to the car... to find it covered in wasps! Likely cause = the sticky stuff that dripped onto the car while we were in Wales. Some wasp spray and bravery later, we set off... and got there only 15 minutes late... and guess what? Rhyme Time cancelled due to illness! Grr! Ah well - swings were still there, so not a totally wasted journey.

Metal tube
We finally found a playground - and what fun! Hannah loved the swings, as always, and what the slide and the wibbly wobbly animals. But her favourite was the metal tube! Mummy at one end, Daddy at the other - what a brilliant way to exercise your baby! We shall be coming back here before we head home.

I'm bored.

I should be asleep of course, but as usual am curiously unable to go to sleep once I actually get the chance. So here's a nice picture of a cloud above my house. Note the blue sky, in case you'd forgotten what a real summery sky looks like. Ooh, I found the New Paragraph button. Right, sleep. I shall no doubt have to get up in about 3 hours...

Lucy in the car with diamonds

Hannah is very asleep. Over an hour and I am still sitting in the car. Even Lucy has got bored of waiting for us to go inside. (That's a yawn btw.) Wish I knew how to make this thing do paragraph breaks. Anyway, I'm fed up because Tesco was on fire (at least, the alarm was going off) and Waitrose was full of people who couldn't go to Tesco and there was nowhere to park because a disabled driver practically drove into me to beat me to the last parent-and-child space. Oh, she's awake. Lunchtime!

Sheep

We have just been to see the sheep in a field near our house - one of Hannah's favourite activities. When she got upset on the way there, I said 'don't be upset, we're going to see the sheep', and she promptly made the noise she makes when she sees sheep! So I guess she undertands quite a bit now - very exciting! Also very nice to be able to pick and eat greengages and raspberries on our little walk - and there will be walnuts and hazelnuts as well soon, not to mention the apples, pears, plums, damsons... Who would ever want to live in a town?!

Asleep again

We're at Gemma's house - well, outside Gemma's house while Hannah catches up on some ZZZZs. We're having such a busy day! Also, this morning she pulled herself up onto two feet for the first time ever - and she hasn't stopped doing it all day. Very hard work for a little girl who's nine months old in two days' time.

Hannah
Well, I've got this whizzy new phone so I might as well make use of it. So here comes a peek at the life I lead these days; probably mostly while I'm sitting in the car waiting for Hannah to wake up (Wake up her before she's had enough sleep? I don't think so!).
Anyway, here's a nice picture of Hannah. Tune in again next time for something more exciting (maybe).
