Miaow

I know it's Christmas Day, but I'm cuter than her, and my tummy is hungry.

Merry Christmas!

Baking

Today Hannah made some Christmas biscuits. She loved the mixing and got the hang of it very quickly. We had to take the rolling pin off her though, as she just wanted to bash everything with it. She also didn't appreciate seeing her biscuits disappear into the oven - she wanted to eat them straight away!

Ho ho ho

Last week she was terrified of Santa, this week she couldn't get there fast enough. How quickly they learn!

Comfort food

Poor Hannah had an argument with a door this morning which resulted in a lot of blood and a fat lip. Luckily everything is ok now, as daddy gave her tiger toast with Nutella for breakfast to make her feel better. Yum! I hope she doesn't do it again tomorrow to get more!

Cuddle time

Aaaaaah!

Hannah's first Sticklebricks project

I don't know what it is, but she carefully constructed it all by herself. It took some time and immense concentration!

Santa Special

Hannah's first time on a steam train. Doesn't Grandad make a good elf!

Me and my toddler friends

Alban, Leo, Erin and Hannah - definitely not babies any more!

My very own table and chairs!

Early Christmas present... and an instant hit! And room for a friend to play too!

Party time

Hannah's first party hat!

Balls

Hundreds and hundreds of them! Plus bouncy castle, ride-ons, slides... Soham Soft Play was definitely a hit!

Elevenses

Now that she's a grown-up 1-year-old, Hannah can have elevenses at Fen Tiggers. Mm, chocolate biscuits.

Sky art

Cool clouds!

Standing

Easy! Hannah took her first independent steps that didn't end in a fall yesterday, and is standing with ease. So I expect she'll be toddling around very soon now!

Ermintrude

Hello dear heart.

Three babies went to the zoo

This is Hannah with Alban and Mia on our trip to Linton Zoo for Mia's first birthday. Lots of lions and tigers - ROAR!!

Funny ducks

Planet Zoom wasn't Hannah's favourite thing in the world... luckily she still likes the ducks!

I like Minmin!

Not sure if Minstrel is so keen though...

Yoghurt

Look how good I am at eating yoghurt, mummy!

And for the record... Hannah took her first unassisted steps today! With that and Kimi winning the championship (HOORAY!) it's been a good day :)

Cellmates

Hannah and Minstrel both love the great outdoors. Minstrel. Incidentally, has a new name - Hannah now calls him Minmin... Or Minminmin or Minminminmin... she's really getting the hang of language :)

All-weather Hannah

The outfit Sky sent Hannah from Korea fits! Just in time for wintry weather... and so cute!

Vroom vroom

Shame she can't quite reach the steering wheel yet.

Babies in the car

Waiting for Hannah to wake up (that's her in the mirror) and look who's joined me!

And later...

Swinging with Leo in Ely. Big day for swings!

Holding on tight

She's really got the idea now! Playing in the park before Rhyme Time... She made a new friend, too! Espen liked Hannah, but wasn't sure about having his nose beeped!

In the tube

Hannah still loves being in a tube! This is at Swaffham Bulbeck again. She had lots of fun on the swings too. Unfortunately the slide stopped being fun when she knocked her face against the edge, and she now has a big red mark under her eye. Poor Hannah :(.

London sky

And Mike in cool silhouette. Autumnn rocks.

Tea party for one

All of a sudden Hannah can pick up a bunch of grapes and eat the grapes, instead of pulling all the grapes off and eating the stalk. She can also put the lid on her Nuby cup... and I have trouble doing that myself!

Anglesey Abbey

Look how tall I am, mummy!

Sleepy Head Cat

We're late for Cathy's... But isn't my baby girl adorable!

Swinging

Really wanted to go to Rhyme Time today. Hannah's morning sleep finished at 9.40. Pushing it, but rushed through some porridge and hope bundled Hannah out to the car... to find it covered in wasps! Likely cause = the sticky stuff that dripped onto the car while we were in Wales. Some wasp spray and bravery later, we set off... and got there only 15 minutes late... and guess what? Rhyme Time cancelled due to illness! Grr! Ah well - swings were still there, so not a totally wasted journey.

Riding with Noddy

Hannah's first ride in a thingy! Telford Services, on our way home now. I *think* she liked it... Wasn't quite sure what it was for though :)

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Caernarfon Castle

Bit chilly down here... Hannah likes it though. Nice river, big castle and pigeons to laugh at. New shoes so she can practice her walking, too!

Metal tube

We finally found a playground - and what fun! Hannah loved the swings, as always, and what the slide and the wibbly wobbly animals. But her favourite was the metal tube! Mummy at one end, Daddy at the other - what a brilliant way to exercise your baby! We shall be coming back here before we head home.

Paddling

Hannah's first paddle! We are at Barmouth and Hannah's new walking skills mean that she can saddle now! - with some assistance. She loved it! Wasn't so keen on being soggy afterwards though.

Toddling in Wales

Look mum, one hand! Wales is obviously good for Hannah; this morning she has learnt to climb stairs! Which leaves us with a bit of a problem... there are only 4 steps here, but being away from home, we don't have a stairgate. She will have to be watched like a hawk!

Hannah's first service station meal

Cottage pie with mashed potato and peas. Yummy! Well, she thought so. Hopefully she will have a nice postprandial nap now, otherwise she's going to get awfuly bored. Thank goodness for Diddy the Dinosaur!

It's holiday time

We are on our way to Wales. We are of course taking Idris with us. Long drive ahead, but at least summer is back. Mountains here we come!

I'm making hats again

This one's a bit big for Hannah but doesn't she look cute?!

Sunday, August 19, 2007

I'm bored.

I should be asleep of course, but as usual am curiously unable to go to sleep once I actually get the chance. So here's a nice picture of a cloud above my house. Note the blue sky, in case you'd forgotten what a real summery sky looks like.
Ooh, I found the New Paragraph button. Right, sleep. I shall no doubt have to get up in about 3 hours...

Marble

I think he might be trying to sit like the purple elephant... but it's anyone's guess really.

Monday, August 13, 2007

Hannah and Leo

Upright babies!

Lucy in the car with diamonds

Hannah is very asleep. Over an hour and I am still sitting in the car. Even Lucy has got bored of waiting for us to go inside. (That's a yawn btw.) Wish I knew how to make this thing do paragraph breaks. Anyway, I'm fed up because Tesco was on fire (at least, the alarm was going off) and Waitrose was full of people who couldn't go to Tesco and there was nowhere to park because a disabled driver practically drove into me to beat me to the last parent-and-child space. Oh, she's awake. Lunchtime!

Sky

This one's for you, dad :)

Sheep

We have just been to see the sheep in a field near our house - one of Hannah's favourite activities. When she got upset on the way there, I said 'don't be upset, we're going to see the sheep', and she promptly made the noise she makes when she sees sheep! So I guess she undertands quite a bit now - very exciting! Also very nice to be able to pick and eat greengages and raspberries on our little walk - and there will be walnuts and hazelnuts as well soon, not to mention the apples, pears, plums, damsons... Who would ever want to live in a town?!

Asleep again

We're at Gemma's house - well, outside Gemma's house while Hannah catches up on some ZZZZs. We're having such a busy day! Also, this morning she pulled herself up onto two feet for the first time ever - and she hasn't stopped doing it all day. Very hard work for a little girl who's nine months old in two days' time.

Rhyme Time

Hannah is so independent all of a sudden. I just put her down and watch her play! Here she is getting stuck into parachute play.

Stripey

Look what happens when Mummy lets Daddy dress Hannah.
